We also work with The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to provide care and services for children and young people at risk. 

About the role:

We are seeking a enthusiastic, compassionate and focused-driven House Supervisor, (mid week and weekends on a rotating roster) to manage and support our clients with disabilities and complex needs.

In the role of House Supervisor, you will be required to provide support and direction within a teamed environment and be responsible for overseeing the provision of quality care and day to day functionalities of the participants in line with our organisational values.

Responsibilities of the role are:

  • Oversee and administer medication treatments and therapies or seek appropriate medical assistance according to prescribed protocols.
  • Be professionally accountable for autonomous decisions that impact clients and staff, and ensure all legal and company policies, compliance and legislative regulations associated with the disability sector are adhered to.
  • Ensure all new house staff are given training and participate in their ongoing staff education.
  • Prepare detailed reports, data and notation within the area of expertise or responsibility and identify areas of service improvement.
  • Conduct house audits (e.g. staff signing meds, cleaning, protocols, punctuality).
  • Oversee the running of the residential premises, manage the day-to-day operational activities and ensure that all rosters and rostering needs are communicated in a timely fashion.
  • Deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours as they arise.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience as a senior disability support worker or have been in a similar position, managing and leading participants with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Flexible, working across a 7-day/night roster, which includes shift work, periodic weekends, public holidays, night shifts & overnight sleepovers.
  • Sound understanding and knowledge of NDIS.
  • Attention to detail, strong report writing skills and empathy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Readiness to transport clients to a range of different services and appointments as required.

Prior to commencing the role, you will need to provide:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Community Management or equivalent  
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certificates
  • NDIS screening check clearance
  • A current unrestricted Victorian Drivers License
  • Satisfactory Working with Children’s Check (Employee)
  • Covid vaccination including booster.
